Whoa! Someone else shares my G&L Blue dream but they can actually touch, play and hear theirs (boo hoo for me). Someday, when I grow up, I'll have one almost just like it. Nice Taste! Color, binding and neck. I'm Green with envy and still dreaming blue. Absolutely awesome Bass dude!

It's wierd, I'm not a huge fan of the binding on the blueburst L2000 but it looks absolutley killer on a blueburst L2500.

It may be because my bass' body has no contour on the face, none whatsoever. It is completely flat.
I have not seen another L2500 totally flat like mine. Someone wrote in this forum that mine is some sort of L2500 Custom model, but it doesn't say "Custom" on it anywhere.
The serial # of my bass is B000948 perhaps of the first-run L2500's. Got it in or around 1997
Anyone else have a flat body like this?
I may have to start another thread on this...

Yes, but I got a cherry burst L-2000 with flat body and wood binding. Posted a (small) picture in the club thread.

Hi all - I'm new to this forum but decided to join to say - I have one of these too, except mine's (apparently) called the Custom Orange (no sunburst) and has a rosewood fretboard. I got mine in 1998 in Birmingham (UK) and the serial's not far off yours - B001035.

I heard (I think I remember the bloke in the shop telling me) these particular Custom ones were limited to 1500 guitars or something like that. I'm not certain mind!
