Some Tech Questions

Sign in to disble this ad
1) What are the volume and tone pot values in a modern era L-2000?
2) What is the L-2000 tone capacitor value?
2) Who makes the G&L ultralight tuners and are they available from an aftermarket source?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Volume = 250K audio taper
Treble = 250K audio taper
Bass = 1M reverse audio taper

The treble control uses a plain ol' .047mfd
The bass control uses a .0022mfd and a .001mfd
There is also a 200pf cap across the volume control

Current basses ship with Hipshot tuners for the most part, with the occasional Schaller set slipping through. Both are G&L Ultra light with aluminum posts.

I've not seen either available aftermarket. The plates & mechanisms are standard articles from either manufacturer. It's the posts that make them specific to G&L.
