Was wondering is their any good brand that make good strap lock to hold my G&L Tribute L2500.

Because i heard some ppl use some really bad one so i was hoping to get a set of good one to secure my bass.

This subject has been discussed at length in several threads. In the end the verdict seems to be that about 50% like Dunlop and 50% like Schaller. In my mind, each of them have pros and cons, but I chose the Dunlops for my L-2500s and have been pleased with them. Do a search for "strap locks" in the forums and you can read for days.

I think Jimtoonz is right. I use Schallers on all my gigging basses (two Fenders, two G&L), and they work fine, but others swear by Dunlop, and someone at a music shop recommended a newer brand he says is superior to both. Whatever. They all work. If you have multiple basses, just get the same kind for all of them. My Fenders came with Schallers, so that's what I use. The G&L strap button screws work fine with the Schaller buttons, which is a plus.

I used Dunlop til I got my Rick, and since they come stock with Schallers, I am now a Schaller man for the rest of my basses.

I only play in church, don't gig out, and would never be without strap locks.

Every good survey has a margin of error. Some of us prefer the "other" option.

other...

Just bought a used L2500 and it came with Dunlop straplocks. Been playing 30+ years and this was the first bass that I owned that had straplocks, just never bothered to go check em out. So I went to GC to buy 1 or 2 more sets of Dunlops to put on my other 2 basses I gig out. I saw a Comfort strap on the rack and recalled how much I liked the one I had a few years ago. A buddy works at GC bass dept and gave me a very good discount on the Comfort strap. So now I use my wide leather strap with my G&L and my comfort strap with my other basses. I do recall that my first comfort strap holes did wear out where the bass could've fallen, so I ordered some Dunlop straplocks online to put on my most recent 55-02 purchase cause the leather strap matches so nice with the cherryburst. Hey style has to come into play as well, we are not barbarians but bassists.

Well, I got several from a case of some kind of fancy lemonade... seems the source of choice is Grolsch Beer, but I haven't found it bottled that way locally.
