switch problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
Aloha Guys,

I recently picked up a 81 L-1000 for a pretty fair price.Though it did need extensive cleaning and a set-up.I it bought from a drummer who did not have an amp for me to try it through, though he did tell me if for whatever reason I was not satisfied,he would refund me the money.Well after I was able to plug it in through one of my amps,I found that the bass only worked in the humbucking position with a very strong output and that the split coil or bass boost position had no output. The funny thing is that if I plug it into tuner the signal seems fine in either of the 2 suspect positions.Any ideas if it maybe the 3 way switch?

John
