Thinking about an L2500...

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking to add a 5 banger back into my life, and the L2500 is on the short list. I've searched and read every thread that came up on the subject I am about to bring up, and I still don't have a lot of useful (to me) information, so I was hoping to get a little input. I have to have a growly, aggressive sound to be happy, and while I've read that G&Ls can be just that, I want to know just how aggressive and growly they can be. I listened to the clips on the G&L webpage (no help, all slap), and I don't have anywhere close at hand to try one out. I currently get a growl like such with my ATK--can I expect a similar amount of growl (if more, all the better) out of an L2500? Thanks.

I don't how you recorded that, but if you think it illustrates your growl, then you'll be very very happy with the l2500

This one is quite nice:

My few G&L L2500 groove clips to share with you!

Much oblige! Those definitely help me out a lot more than the G&L clips.

You'll dig it

I like my tones the same way you do, as my primary is a Warwick, and I just purchased an L-2000. Before I bought it I listened to all of those clips (and a few more) and I have to say that the sound is even a bit more aggressive than I was expecting. I don't think you will be disappointed at all.
