Trib 2500, how "modern of tone"??

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey G&L peeps..!! I'm gassing badly for a new bass. Bassnw has a Tribute 2500, and a Traben Array Obsession 5...I cannot try them personally due to where I live. So..I've been "youtubing" to try to get tone samples. I really like what I hear from the 2500 online, but BASSNW has advised me that the two basses are equal in quality, although the Traben is $200 less. So, what experience do you have w these basses and should I save the extra scratch for the Tribbie..and of course the title of my thread, how modern does a 2500 get? I'm aware of the versitility...thx.

sorry if it seems I'm repeating myself here, I guess I really want more opinions than I've gotten up to this point.

I assume you've seen the Friedland review of the Trib L2000 on Youtube? The same bass with more strings. He is pretty thorough in his review.
