Tribby SB-2 and SVT

Hey guys. As a new G&L owner I thought I'd tell you all how my first band practice went. One thing I've come to decide is that my vintage SVT paired with an 8x10e is the end all beat all of bass amplification and if I can't get a new bass purchase to sound good through it then the bass goes. The good news is that the SB-2 sounds awesome through it basically set flat with a little boost in the 1'st position (low mids?) of the mid selector. So much better than my new to me American P with QP's in it. That MFD is wicked gnarly, all the punch of the P but with the grind that I love my jazz's for. And clear as all get out, hit a low E or F and it rings out perfectly. I can't decide if I like the neck pickup all by it'self at about 80% or if it sounds better with maybe 20% of the bridge added in or about 60% of the bridge added in. It has so much balls with about a 80/60 mix. It is wierd to me that to my ears it sounds more bassy and ballsy the more you add in the bridge. I would think that it would be the opposite. Anyways just thought I'd share my so far happy time with my new tribby.

Seriously bro, that's my rock dream setup right there man. And while I won't commit to hauling around an SVT just yet, I am pretty set on getting a custom shop lefty SB-2 as soon as finances allow.
