Tribute JB-2 Question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi. Looking at a JB-2. Should I expect a classic Jazz tone from it? I've been considering a Squier VM or SX, but the JB-2 looks attractive (although a few more $$). I'd just go play one, but no one around me has one. So I'll have to order it, probably.

Thanks!

I tried a jb-2,, I found it had a better 'jazz' tone than the 'jazz' itself..

hard for me to explain,, I just liked it better..

but I got a trib l2k instead,,

go figure

I think the Tribute JB-2 is an incredible deal! IMO, it hangs really well with a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz and is significantly better than a MIM Jazz. IMO, it is a $900 bass for $450.

IMHO, the highs on the JB2 are clearer and more aggressive than your typical Fender passive J; so much so that I put LaBella flats on mine to calm that down.
