Tribute L2000 / Battery?

I'm thinking of purchasing a Tribute L2000, But ONLY if I can play this bass WITHOUT A BATTERY. I'm sick of my basses with batteries, and want passive, and coil split. I read the FAQ, and wasn't sure of the answers. Sorry, but I just want to be perfectly clear - IT WILL WORK WITHOUT A BATTERY - RIGHT? Thank You Much

Yep. You can remove the battery and will not notice a shred of difference in the passive mode regardless of any other switch setting.

Ummmmm just don't flip the rear switch into the active modes with no battery.

Thanks much Guys - thats all I needed to know - I found the Tribute L2000 in blueburst with a maple neck/fretboard (just beautiful) on the net for $520 (made in Korea?) - as soon as I get the cash...

Also is it 34" or 35" ? It doesn't say.

Should be 34" scale. You can find even better deals on the Tributes than $520... I've seen them go for $450 or even less.
