Question Tribute L2500 String Spacing

Sign in to disble this ad
I've done some searching but to no avail. I'm after the strings spacing on the L2500 Tribute. I know the width at the nut is the same as the L2000 but i can't find what the actual string spacing is on the 5. I'll be able to try a 2k so can get a feel for the saize of the neck as i know this has caused some people some problems but this won't give me the feel of the 5 strings.

String spacing at the nut and bridge would great if someone could supply the dimensions, then at least i can compare against my current basses.

The thick neck doesn't put me off but the string spacing could be an issue.

I'm looking for my first 5 and just keep coming back to the L2500; there is something about G&Ls that makes me want one soooooooooooooooo bad!

Thanks in advance

L2500 is 17 mm at the bridge. For reference, Fenders are 19mm, MM's are 17mm, and Warwicks are 16.5mm. While MM's are 17mm also, the neck is a bit wider and not as thick, so it may not be a perfect comparison, but it may be as close as you can get.

Exactly the string spacing is 17,5 mm. It is about the same as the stingray 5 with one difference: The fretboard radius! 12" on the G&L vs. 11" on the stingray. For me the feel of the G&L is a little wider.
