A useful and simple bridge modification for you

I replaced the bridge saddle screws on my L2500 Tribute with socket head cap screws like this:



I got them from a local industrial supplier in stainless steel and they cost me $0.81 total. Now when I adjust my intonation I don't have to worry about stripping the phillips head out at all or pushing hard so that it doesn't slip - it's an easy grip with a hex wrench.

If you're interested I can get you the screw specs.

I'll take a pic of it this weekend. The screws weren't quite as shiny as the originials, but you can't tell because they're covered by the springs. The screw heads fit perfectly in the slots at the end of the bridge.

The length is about 28mm and the threads are fine (as opposed to coarse). I'll have to get the diameter for you next week. I didn't get all of the info because I didn't know whether they would work or not. If you couldn't find a suitable set locally I could buy you some and mail them to you - probably cost around $3 for the screws and shipping.
