I'm really looking for a Vintage P-Bass setup:
1 3/4" Nut
7 1/2" radius
20 mm string spacing (at the bridge)
Passive (vintage sound) P pups
But I'd also like:
A more modern bridge
Hip Shot Tuning Keys (tapered)
Graphite reinforced neck.
Birdseye maple fingerboard (vintage or gun oil finish).
Spalted Maple top.
Has anyone done anything like this? Is it possible through G&L? Just wondering how well custom orders (options) turn out with G&L.
I guess this would be something like a cross between a Lakland Bob Glaub and a Fender Vintage series P Bass, with a couple extras thrown in.
On the whole, how do G&L basses compare with Fenders & Laklands (all MIA)? |
