Hi Guys,
Well I still have it! I think this is the longest I have owned a G&L. I can't tell you how pleased with this L2000 I am. It's so comfortable and the neck feels and plays so well. I have made a tone observation however...
I am a longtime Rotosound user,(Geddy Lee is my idol) and I have really been tweaking the controls on my amp ( Gk 400RBIV) since I have been using the L2K. Now I know many of you have said "be careful or cautious with eq and those MFD pickups" Yah Yah I know they're "hot" but something was missing in my tone. It was almost too clean or warm sounding. I was missing my, call it "gank" or "drive" or whatever. I was even considering getting a new amp or cab. ( I have a Dr.Bass RX210, an excellent cab! I highly reccomend them) And then it hit me this morning when I was practicing...the L2K still has Daddario Nickel XL's on it that it shipped with...DUH! I'm missing the stainless steel "ganky clankies".Unfortunetly I didn't have time to change the strings this morning so this is just a goofy rant but tonight I should be able to make the switch. Take Care Guys.

If you do the single coil mod, the BABE came single coil already, you flip both pickups on, single coil, and flip it active you will be in happy Geddy land.

Wal era is different go both, series, and run the bass cut most of the way down.

Yes,
I had the single coil mod done at the factory as well it's great. I've just been playing with the parallel mode the most lately. So many tones! It's almost overwhelming. I've even played a few songs with just the neck pickup in series( for a Jazz Bass guy like myself that's a hard thing to do you know!) and I'm just using the passive mode I haven't really even tried the active or active with treble modes yet.
