Were have all the L1K's gone?

Does any one know if there just were not too many of these made or if owners just seldom like to let go? Or perhaps a little of both? It just seems that not many of these show up on the used market too often and when they do they move fast.

Not quite sure "whoooo" the Owl Farm is. Can you elaborate?

If anyone has an L1K they are considering selling, feel free to drop me a note.

They're selling for ~$1350 plus shipping. I've been looking for a used L1000 myself (without much luck), so I may just go ahead and buy one of the reissues...

Found Two Used

These seem to be priced a bit high. Thoughts?

I am in Boston so this one is out. No returns on vintage items if I read the policy correctly.

This one is in TX. Seller does not want to ship.

I figured I would post them if anyone else is looking.

It confounds me that G&L hasn't done a Tribute run of L-1000's. It seems like SUCH a no-brainer for them.

It took FOREVER to get them to do a limited run of US ones. I think it's one of those things that just isn't on the "cool" radar for most people.

And for the record, I don't own ALL of them. But several have passed through the Owl Farm, and I do sell a few here and there.

Here's a few:

Hey, 16 years isn't forever!

Though, I suppose if you were a 16-year-old it would sure feel like it. Heh.

Nice set of 1Ks there, Duke. One more natural/maple and you've got yourself a full house!
