The LB-100 is sweet (kick-butt meat and potatoes axe). But I love that cream bonded ASAT bass! I have a black/silver bowling ball swirl ASAT (maybe I'll post a pic). However I'd love to have one in black with white binding with bird’s eye maple board. Sigh...

PS I've seen purple see-thru finish on G&L's but not burst (is that what you mean by "faded?").

Favorite G&L?

Playability/Ease of Use: SB-2. It is always "there"

Tone: L2k w/ mapleboard. It just has it.

The more I play, the more this rings true.

Another vote for a first year 1980

It has a unique look and feel with a killer sound unmatched by ANY passive bass I have ever play, and that's a whole bunch over 42-years of gigging.
It must look and sound like this hog

Sorry I didn't clean all pretty before my artistic attemp at photography

However I must admit, Pepperman's white L1500 has me thinking impure thoughts!

Pics!!!!!

I've got a silver bowling ball L2k. Not too many of that finish around....

Interesting. I've got an LB-100 that I am absolutely in love with too. Similar tastes...

I have owned a few good ones, but this one, a '97 L2K kicks my ass every time I pick it up. I've owned a crap-load (100+) of basses, searching for what this one does. I wish I woulda found this one 25 years ago, my mortgage would have been paid off.
