I have two Tributes - an L 2000 and a JB2. I bought the 2000 here in Ireland ( paid too much for it in retrospect ).

Bought the JB2 on ebay. Have to rely on ebay as G&L dealers are scarce (and expensive ) here.

Got both of my Tributes from Bobby Kennedy at MusicMasters in Tallahassee, FL. Excellent service and matched/beat online discounters.

Out of the 46 G&L guitars and basses I've owned over the years, I've bought exactly one (1) in person from a guitar store. All the rest have been from on-line ads posted at various guitar/bass websites, other players that I know around the country, and E-bay.

I have no G&L dealers around me, and I like to buy used anyway.

I noticed that Buffalo Brothers carries G&L basses the last time I stopped by. That said, I picked up a few and they seemed much heavier than the five-string basses I already own; the pinched nerve in my left should told me, "No, thanks," although they looked like very well made basses.

Got my two L-2000 from eBay, because they're a little hard to come by in stores here in Germany. Had some problems with one PU which was a little messed up by the previous owner(s), but I managed to solve that. So everythings fine now. I'd do it again that way.

Try Rocket Music, www.RocketMusic.net. They have a forum right here on TB. Greg is a great guy to deal with and he'll shoot you a very good price with free shipping. If they don't have what you want, he is happy to order it for you.
