I need to replace a stripped truss rod nut on my L2000. Should be simple enough, right?

After a day of calling the customer service/tech support number on the website and not getting through, I called manny's music, where I bought the bass. manny's was helpless ... "parts? oh, man, no. did you try calling g&l??"

so, back on the phone the next day. no one answers. i leave a very clear message and a callback number. a day later, nothing. i surf through their voicemail, even trying to push 0 for operator (yeah, right), and all roads lead back to a recording saying 'don't bug us, go to the website or your dealer.'

What's up with these people?

Is there a secret handshake or should i just ebay this slab of wood and buy an instrument from a company that cares about its customers?

(this is not my first, but my third, customer service nightmare with them).

I know the best bet is reaching a human on the phone, but if that hasn't worked, have you tried e-mailing them? They might give you the secret handshake in the mail to be able to get a hold of a caring human.

Your best bet is to post a message on the GbLDP forum at http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/gldp/index.php3

That seems to be about the only way to get anybody's attention.

I have a couple here at my store and I can get you any parts you want (though they are slow on parts orders...). E-mail me at guitarmannyc@verizon.net or call the store at 212-475-5150.
