Wow, series IS cool . . .

Just got my L2500 back from a pro setup and put it through some paces preparing for some shows. I've always stuck with parallel 'cause in the past series seemed waaay too big and wooly, but I dunno, for some reason, I'm getting the thunky pickstyle almost "scooped thunk" I need for some tunes more than I used to with parallel (I admit, I AM scooping some low mids amp-side). And interestingly, I'm finding the tone knobs (treble in particular) more responsive in series.
Sounding gooooood....

Series is huge. Strangely, I'm finding myself going the other way these days.

yeah that's why I avoided it 'cause it always seemed too big and wide, but I guess I'm just digging deeper into the possibilities. The tone knobs seem to have more range in series than in parallel. In series I'm rolling back the volume and bass more than in parallel, and it's a whole 'nuther bass . . .

Typically, I go series live and parallel when recording something.

I really like the Series sound. I've used it for years. But then, all of a sudden I switched to parallel because of the lack of noise. But lately, I'm rediscovering Series...feeling that Parallel lacks the Mid UMPH.
