I knew the prices for the old Sunn amps have been slowly creeping up but this is nuts.

That's absurd.

Granted that particular version of the Coliseum seems to be rarer than it's same era Concert counterpart, still no way I'd pay that much for one. Most likely 300 watts. People need to stop going off of the wattage listed next to the power cord. Wouldn't pay more than 400-500 for it. Payed 200 for my Concert Bass and around 100 for each of my Concert Slaves. This is nuts.

Shoot, it'll be time to sell when my Coliseum 300 gets up to that much.

Wow. i wish i would've gotten anywhere near that much for my, old, and IMO, more desireable vintage Coliseum when i sold it about a years ago, and mine was mint. i guess that bidding thang can get crazy sometimes.

That does seem high. I guess it was worth it to the buyer, unless he's a shill or something... Sometimes it's fun to watch for relists on items like this. Surprising how many of these "deals" tend to "fall through."

Not first generation, busted power switch? Not even really collectible. Well, no explaining for eBay most of the time.

I got $20 on non-paying bidder.
