That's fair when you consider shipping and a 2 year warrenty (very important with Behringer).

I looked on their website and it states that there is a 1 year non-transferable warranty. I could be missing something though. Check out this link: BEHRINGER: Warranty

Unless it's from a store that offers an extended warrenty on used gear.

Make sure you get details on the warrenty. If he's just trying to sell you on a factory warrenty then MuzikMan is right.

No warrenty? $150 shipped = Fair Price

Is the warranty included in the $200, or is it a $200 amp with a 2 year warranty available? The good sales geeks at GC are masters at saying it so it sounds like you get a warranty for the tag price, but when you get to the register they try to slap on an up charge for the warranty.

A very annoying, but obviously effective sales technique. I certainly hope it's effective, I'd hate to think GC was pissing off all their other customers as much as they irritate me with a bum rush at the till trying to up the ticket.

Yes. Its $200= shipping+ warranty+ amp.

So sound like a good deal?

What about a power chord for it? Think it comes with that? If not, where can i get one? Would it use the same power supply as an amp head power cable?

be really sure about that warranty bit. will they send it back to get fixed? will they fix it there? on a used behringer anything this sounds really sketchy.

these days you could likely score a used QSC RMX 1450 for that and have a way more reputable amp.

That sounds just a little high for one of those, but maybe just in the high end of the range. It should be in near-mint condition for that price.

Peavey IPR1600 is $299 new with more than a 2 year factory warranty.

For about another $50 you could get a new Crown XLS1000 at Northern Sound and Light (you have to call them on the phone to get the price). Bite the bullet and forget about Behringer. $200 is a terrible price for a piece of low-quality gear that you're going to have to replace anyway. Spend the extra bucks now and get a real amp. Buy once cry once.

This amp is worth copying!

Not really, it's big and heavy. 1980's technology.
The lifetime of a power amplifier, it's worth the cost to future proof a little and buy something modern.
Crown, Peavey, QSC, much better choices

I can't imagine any used + behringer combination coming out of guitar center going well. It would be like three worlds melding to form a trifecta of calamities.

I am normally 100% the go-used type. But in this case.... no.

Behringer's Ep series power amps are pretty well and highly reviewed. However $200 for a used EP1500 isn't exactly a deal of the day. Granted it is a fair price if they include shipping and a warranty but I wouldn't pay more than $150 for one. I got some good years from my EP2500 but I grew tired of hauling the heavy SOB around.

Hi.

Sounds high to me.

You do know how heavy it really is?

A friend of mine has a EP2500 and ther's been some odd issues with it. IIRC the advertized power figure is uncomparable with any decent maker as well, so if You're seeking OOMPH, you'll be disapointed.

Paid about 200€ for it several years ago for it though, so it's been worth it. He still has it, but stepped up on quality onr his current amp.

For that kind of money, I'd seek something more reputable.

Just my 0.02€

I agree with the comments about the EP series - they are one of the things Behringer got right. I used an EP2500 for years with my PA and never had any trouble with it. But it is heavy. Sold it last year for $150 on CL.

You need to supply your own power chords, by they're easy to play.

Why spend that kind of dough on a used Behringer when you can pick up a brand new Peavey, Crown, etc. for a few bucks more? As I see it, the increasing availability of competetively-priced quality power amps may, in time, drive down the resale value of older-technology components.
