| | Registered User | | | | | $500 to spend on Amp and want something I dont have to have a forklift to move.. Ok.. I have now started to think about what Amp I want next. I have a Fender Rumble 15W I use for home and practice..
I was looking at the Fender Rumble 350 Combo and it seems to have a lot of good reviews and seems to be small enough for moving around... Can get it a Musical Friends for $425
Would I even be able to use the Rumble 350 for practice at home or would it be used just for gigs or playing with bands?
What else would you guys recommend I look at in that Price Range?
Not in a big hurry to buy but starting to look..
Thanks in advance..

If I were you I wouldn't get a combo. Spend $300 on a head and $200 on a cab. |

Surprisingly good tone and excellent volume. I have 2, and I paid $300 for one and $200 for the other. |

I'd do that exactly opposite, and put more money into the cab. But, I do agree, buying used gear will stretch the budget, and seperates are much easier to upgrader, and add-on to.

I started my live playing with a B300head and 2 410mkII cabs.. Good definition with 5 strings, I just got kind of gear snobby and moved to my Orange/Ampeg set up.

As a stand alone combo, it puts out 350W through its' internal 2x10 speakers which is fine for most rehearsals and small to mid-sized gigs. If you need more oomph, you can add an 8ohm cab and boost the overall output to 500W.
Best of all, the combo weighs less than 35lbs and is a great sounding amp.
Used, they can easily be found for less than $500.
