10" bass speaker in a guitar amp. Am I crazy?

I have a Vox AC4TV guitar amp which is an all tube, one 12AX7 and one EL84, class A, 4 watt @ 16 ohms amplifier.

It is a great little guitar amp, but I want to play my bass through it as well and get some decent volume out of it. So I thought if I put a bass speaker in there then I could turn it up a little more with out worrying about blowing out the speaker.

Is this do-able? Any suggestions for a speaker?

The description for this speaker states that it is good for guitar or bass cabs, would this be a good choice?

Yes most certainly, because any sane man would use a properly designed bass guitar speaker in a properly designed bass guitar cabinet.
There are loads available, the only problem is the 16 ohm thing.
It might be a special order new thing or possibly a vintage thing
like an old fender bassman ten cts driver or a jbl D/K/E 110.
Or maybe go larger a 15" might get you a more classic tone and more efficiency.
PS.What about an Altec alnico 418 or 421 they would give most efficiency.
Maybe a Jbl D130 just about level pegging on SPL but not quite as round sounding as an Altec 418.
