1001 RB though combo.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone.

I just got a GK 1001 RB, and I have nothing to play it through for the time being...
I was wondering if it would be possible if I could somehow play my new head through my combo amp.

Which would be 1001 RB > Fender Rumble 60w (1x12)

The combo has: Pre amp out, power amp in, headphones, line out.

Any idea how I would do it?
If I did I would definatley have it turned down lol, or should I just not bother?

Thanks heaps.

You can run the GK's preamp out into the Fender power amp in and just use it as a preamp unit. You won't be able to power the combo with it as they are.

Even if you did, you would stand a very good chance of torching the 12 in the combo. With christw's suggestion, you will get to use the GK pramp through an amp safer for that 12 thats in it.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but either sell or trade the Fender for a cab and you're set. Cheers.

Just wait till you get a cab for it, otherwise you're likely to bust something. Patience.

This is what you want to do. At least you'll be able to feel for your settings on the new head.
But yes, you'll want to good cab to really hear what that head can do.

Thanks for the advice with the other information on how to do it, but I spose I can wait a week for it to come.
I hate risking things, specially when I saved alot for my gear lol.
