Hey,

Amp setup: Gallien Krueger 1001rb Mk-II head into eden d410xlt run at 4ohms 700w

Bass: Musicman stingray 4 (so the amp IS padded)

Was playing a gig during the week, 2 hour set as per normal, halfway through i notice the bass is gone quieter than normal, turnaround and the clip light on the amp is on, and stays on the for the last third of the song continuosly, never happened before. So i turn down the master volume to 0 to turn off the power amp and just leave the di signal for the next song to see if this helps. It does, the clip light goes off halfway through this next song.

So after this song i turn off the amp, give it a sec, then turn it back on again, works perfect for the rest of the gig, and hasn't happened since in the last 3 gigs. Is there anything to worry about here?

Cheers

In my experience, problems like this only get worse. However, if you take it to a shop they might not be able to recreate the problem quickly. If thats the case, then they cant be wasting time trying to break your amp, so theyll move onto the next one so they can keep making money

The simple answer is, you have to keep playing the amp until you get it to have this problem very consistently and then take it in. You can try calling GK customer service, but they will probably just tell you to take it to your nearest authorized service center
