looking to 'downsize'. need something smaller and more portable than the Bergantino NV 610.
currently playing a stringray through a svt-2pro.
played a couple different 112's and 115's and all research came up inconclusive. not looking to drop too much cash on it, somewhere in the $500 range. any suggestions?

don't waste an svt 2 pro on a tiny cabinet, dude. you won't be happy. 215 is the smallest i would ever go with a 300w tube head.

Right now I have 3 cabs: Aggie GS112, Avatar B210neo, and GK Neo115-iii. My favorite as a stand alone is the GK 115. It is bigger than the other two but I suspect that is why I like its sound. Sound wise it goes low with a fairly modern / defined high mid / lower treble voicing. And it has a tweeter the I typically roll back or completely off depending on the situation. The low mids are pronouned and it does have some of that typical 15 flavor but with good definition.

Prior to the 115, I was fairly satisfied with my GS112 and B210 together. However, neither one sounded very good on there own in the lower to medium volume jams and you kinda feel foolish bringing in two cabs when your playing low to medium volume with an unamplified grand piano. The 115 is fillling that one schlepable cab niche for me. It sounds like there are a lot of good 112s on the market, but for the money and tone (value) I am happy with the GK 115-neo.

thanks for the suggestion dave. the gk115 seems to be the most popular option for a small cab. ill have to go find one and try one out.
youre right about wasting the svt on a small cab, but for playing a small coffee shop or other similar sized venue, its just silly to come in with a 610. it would make more sense just to buy another small cab than a whole new combo. any svt is better than no svt at all.
