Hi folks,

2 x Hartke HyDrive 112 or 2 x Markbass Traveller 121H

Iīve tested both, both are very nice and I like their sound. I just canīt decide.

Style is mostly pop, funk, soul and a little rock, bass is a Sandberg California JM5. The head is a HA3500.

I'll vote Markbass, but it's not fair since I haven't tried the Hartke. I just have a 121H combo. It's a very nice sounding cab in that combo. Amazing, actually. However, I opted to add a 151P cab as an extension with the goal of getting another later.

if you like both sound wise..is there another factor to help you decide ?..like size, weight, aesthetics, price.. you get the idea.

It's good that you found something you like..some search the world over for gear.

Concerning weight and price, the HyDrive is first.

Concerning Looks and overall smoothness of sound, the Markbass is first.

My main goal is to replace my old 4x10 + 1x15 Stack with something smaller and lighter without sacrificing too much sound. I am a little older now and I my back needs some relief.

Sound can always be tweaked and can vary gig to gig. Heavier will always be heavier. I am a Hartke fan too.
