Sign in to disble this ad
fellow Tber friend asked me to build him a fearful 15/6/1. pretty much spec build except it has a 3rd handle on the top.

cutting the birch out

my trusty table saw

she did some cutting for me

she cuts pretty good

testing the holes and drill out out for the hurricane nuts

gluing together

started putting bracing

bracing in front on and drying

will put more pics after the front dries and I start putting more. ran out of braces so thats were im leaving off for the night.

I'm crazy! I bought a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 to try with this cabinet. I doubt I will like it better than my Ampeg SVT-4 Pro, but everyone has been raving about the Genz so let's see!

Hope the weekend was productive! Can't wait to give this baby a try. No luck getting my 12/6/1 crossover fixed.

Well, I used my fEARful 12/6/1 for 2 gigs this past weekend. What a great box! I've been an Eden 410XLT user for 16 years, so for me to like something, it has some strong competition. While the fEARful 12/6/1 won't be suitable for all of my gigs, it will be doing quite a few!

If you are a funk/slap/pop guy, theses cabinets are the best I've ever player through and have a look at my profile, I've owned a few!

Yes, the pre-built ones are pretty much plug and play.

Looks good, but why are the handles so close to the back? Seems like it won't balance well.

between the bracing, actually makes it pretty easy to carry for me. though i think he will end up using the top one more than the sides

may have spoken too soon. something aint working right, but im too tired to figure it out tonight. I went to plug the box in and my amp went into protect and I only heard sound out of the woofer not the mid or tweeter. gonna have to see if its a driver or xover problem when i aint tired.

Check your wiring to and from the crossovers.

yeah i checked it twice while wiring it up and a 3rd time before screwing the woofer in, but i plan on checking everything again when I have a day off from work. Got the check the wiring then i will remove the tweeter and mid ends and try running it just woofer, then add the mid section, etc until i figure out what is wrong. guess i'll break out the multimeter to check the drivers again too.

I've once got a speakon socket defective, one of the 4 contacts was not working (1+) so the woofer was working but not the midrange.
I replaced it and everything worked out.

Regards,

Roberto
