Looking for a 15" Cab. Trying to see what the thoughts on the GK Neo 115-iii, Avatar TB153 and the Markbass New York 151. I have a GK MB Fusion head and I use two GK Neo 112-ii. Looking for a little more bottom end.

I have a Neo 115-iii that I use with a MB500 head. I downsized the electronics when I went with the MB500 but then upsized the cabinet from a Aguilar GS112 I used to use as my single cab. I find the Neo 115 has a less boxy, full sound that I only used to get with my GS112 ran with a second cabinet (Avatar B210neo). Most of my playing these days does not warrant making a second trip for a second cabinet. I like the Neo 115 because of its weight and ability to sound good as a single cab. It does low very well. It can do a very punchy B string at drummer volumes. I find the high mids to be there as well. And the tweeter is not a bad one although I don't use a whole lot.

It is a tolex which looks fragile to me. I went ahead and sprung for the amp cover at the GK website. RMC Audio sold me the cab for something less than $400.

I recently purchased two NEO 115-III's and I'm very happy with them. After a few gigs, they've "opened up" a bit in tone and volume. Their light weight is a blessing when unloading the van at 3am.

I'm now using two GK NEO 1X15 mark Is. and I love them, I would suppose that the changes to the Mark III are for the better. (I had one Mark I and a Mark I 1X12 I just found a second 1X15)

If you are looking for bottom end, the Avatar 153 will slay the other 15's out there hands down.

It is the only "commercial" cabinet using the 3015LF speaker which deals out low end in spades.
