Which 15" replacement for old combo?

Sign in to disble this ad
Ack. After decades of loyal use, my beloved gray Roland Cube 100 has the "slight farty rattle" syndrome when pushed. I use it for my Ashbory, so headroom is really important. This amp has been great and I still like its sound and feel for what it is. What do you all recommend for a 15" replacement? The quality/cost/efficiency are all in the "best I can do keeping in mind that it's a 20 year old cube" category. But I would like to see if a high fidelity, more efficient speaker makes it sound even better than it did.

Thanks! : )

What's the OHM rating of the STOCK speaker ?
If it's 8 ohms...I would recomend the Eminence Kappalite 3015LF.
It's a Neodymium speaker which has am XMAX of 9.6mm and a sensitivty of 99.8
I use one with a Lil Mark II [300watts @ 8 ohms ] and for larger gigs I use the 15' plus a 12' with the Mark Bass and I like it. BLT SOUND carries them http://www.bltsound.com/
