15" Speaker

I need a 15" 4 ohm speaker (not cabinet) to use w/my Peavey Bass 400 amp. I have the Peavey 1810 cabinet (1 18, and 2 10s), but need something more portable.

I have a 115 Music Man Bass cabinet that I want to put a really good speaker in. I used a friends Music Man 115 cabinet that had a 115 in it a long time ago, w/the Peavey Bass 400.

Where can I find a 15" Black Widow 4 ohm. All I am seeing is 8 ohm. 8 ohm will not work w/my amp. Any other speakers that will hold up to my amp?

I used a Carvin 4 10 bass cabinet for about a year. It was pretty good, but not quite what I want.

Question Answered

Peavey sent me a list of local dealers who handle 15" Black Widow bass guitar speaker. Problem solved.

Did you ensure that the BW will work properly in the MM cabinet???? Please read the FAQ at the top of page one.

Oh, I see I need to edit. I meant to say that the cabinet I used had a 15" Black Widow in it. That combo worked. Should have seen the guitar players face when he stepped in front of it and saw his pants flapping in the wind. I am looking at the Black Widow 1502 - 4. I will check out those links. Can you suggest any alternatives? I do not want a combo. Most of them just do not work, unless you can afford something like a GK, etc. I like a separate head and cab as each one is easier to carry, and gives me more flexibility as to speaker choice.
