Most of the reputable speaker suppliers also carry these, but Avatar is a nice deal.

Make two 8 ohm 1x15s.

Make two 8 ohm 1x15s. | It'll be switchable to 2 ohms as well assuming I get 4ohm drivers so would be a good standalone head with a lot of SS heads.
I'd have to change about 10 amps to make an 8ohm 2x15 useless to me
So far having being told Celestion and Eminence don't do 4ohm 1x15's, they both do and Fane can do it on special request.
Celestion even do a Neo which could be very interesting, but likely sound crap

| | | | Eminence Basslite 2515 and Eminence Legend CA154 are both 4Ω, available from BeachAudio.com for $99.99 and $59.99, (respectively)...
US speaker has a B&C HPL76W and 15NDL76, but you really don't want to know how much those are. Have fun.

If you can run a 2 ohm load, then why not just use a 4 ohm 2x15?

OP BEFORE you buy the drivers make sure that the cabinet you have made is suitable for those drivers in volume and porting.

Paul | In the former case, he might want to be asking on Basschat.co.uk.

All my amps are tube amps, my plan was to place this under a 4x10, why, well because I want to, I like big amps and big cabs. I have 2 Mesa Boogie Tube amps I can run a 2 ohm load on but my 4x10 is 8ohms so I'd rather not run a 2.67 ohm load.
The other 4 gigging amps I own will not run a 2 ohm load or a 2.67 ohm load. Some of my vintage offerings won't even run a 4 ohm load (but I can run 2 8ohm cabs as a 16 ohm load).
So obviously with the same vintage amps having it at 8ohms means I can use it on it's own.
So does anyone have any experience with the Celestion BL15-300X, BN15-300X or the Eminence Legend CA154?

and Kappa 15A available in 4 ohms and the Delta 15B in 16 ohms. http://usspeaker.com/Legend%20CA15-4-1.htm http://usspeaker.com/bass%20liteC2515-1.htm http://usspeaker.com/Kappa-15-1.htm http://usspeaker.com/Delta-15B-1.htm
US speaker has a bunch of others too, but I don't know much about them. Being in the UK it would probably be cheaper/easier to find them elsewhere as well.
I've heard good things about the Eminence 3015 neos, those would be my choice for a big 2x15 build since it will save some weight.

Also to save confusion I won't be building the cab, Matamp will and I only have 2 size constraints of width and depth, can be as tall as they need it to be to get the sound not sure if it will be ported or sealed at this time, but I don't know about those things i just tell them to make it sound good and they come back with something that sounds better than I could have hoped
