I had bought an Genz Benz Uber410 from a fellow TB'er and then got a new Ampeg SVT7-Pro. Tomorrow I will finally get it into my bands rehearsal space so I can let 'er rip.
The 7Pro's manual does not have anything by the way of presets etc. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe just look up the SVT3-Pro's manual to get a "Rock" setting? I've looked up that manual for a rehearsal studio I go to has it. I will be playing a Fender American Standard P bass tuned to C# (or all strings tuned down a step and a half). Any advice is appreciated. |

It'lll be hard to find a bad sound in that rig. And half the fun of a new rig is turning knobs and seeing what you can get out of it. Don't worry about suggested settings and just play around with it before you get there so you have a better idea of what it can do, then have fun.

From left to right, I usually have the compressor ~ 9 or 10 o'clock, gain at noon, engage the ultra-lo, roll the bass back a hair, dime the mids, mid selector on 2 or 3, hair of treble boost, master to taste.

It's a useful setup and IMO is the best way to get a lot of usable tones without a complicated EQ setup.
The only difference with the 7Pro is that they finally made the Ultra-lo button usable, which in the past I felt it not to be, at least for me. |

But, is hard to get a bad sound outta that amp & the cab you've got should work great too.
