Has anyone compared the EA Wizzy 10 and GenzBenz STL-10T? I know the EA is 4ohm. I'm interested in sound comparison, thanks. |

The Wizzy 10 is more warm and full, and the STL-10T is more bright and not as full and "big" sounding (though we are talking 1x10's, here!). The EA goes a bit deeper, too. Both are very light and very compact. |

If you are someone who really loves the high-end shimmer of tweeter, then the Wizzy 10 might not be for you.
Another slightly larger, slightly heavier, but overall quite excellent cab is the MOjO Sonic Mini, made by fellow TB-er Kenny Allyn.

It would likely make a wonderful studio cab, but the physical limitation of a single 10" driver having it's output eaten up by deep low end just seems like a bad idea.
If you're going the 1x10 route, stick to punchy upper-bass and lower-mids rather than deep low end.

It uses transmission line design to get the low end response. And did I mention there is no crossover in the cab. I used mine for over a year and I love the sound of this cab. If you need more volume get 2..... There is a 8 ohm and 4 ohm model. |

Some other great 1x10's worth considering are the Acme Low-B1 (available in 4 or 8 ohms), the Epifani UL-110, Eden CXC-110, older EA VL-110's, and my top dawg 1x10, the discontinued and very hard to find Bergantino HT110. |

Mind you, these are pretty low-volume jazz gigs, though they do have drums.
