THe Shuttle 9.0 will power two of these, guessing they are 8 ohm. I have no other info at this time.

That is much nicer than I thought, and I am both shocked and impressed to see the 8's lined up good and proper. I look forward to trying one of those guys and eating my words about it -- I was picturing it and just couldn't imagine it being that compact.

The one thing i notoce about GB is that they keep their ears to the ground.. and participate in teh forums.. For theirs and other products.. Im sure they are up on the fearful and the design and peoples wishes..
And vigilant for folks as yourself that knows their ****..

Im thinking a pair of these would do mist of my rock/pop type gigs.
and maybe three for my other touring gig...
looking forward to trying this and the Uber 115..

What I notice about it that I really like is that the midranges are set up so that they'll line up good with a stack of two. The only criticism there is that I'd slightly prefer seeing the ports on the sides like their Neox series, so you could get the mids and woofer a little bit closer together in a stack. Not a huge deal I don't think. I'm guessing you'd want to turn the horn on the bottom one down and the top one up. Tough to get 3-way cabs to stack nicely.

I'd be interested to hear a bit more about the sensitivity and the design goals.

I dig the compact design. I've played thru some 112's and while you cant do high volume gigs with them, they are certanly punchy.

Whe I get more info, Ill let you all know.

That is a slick looking box. A lot, of course, depends on the design of that 112 and the crossover point of the 8's. Adding 8's to a standard mid voiced 12 driver never made a lot of sense to me (have played a bunch of them through the years), since you are just replacing one source of midrange with another (with a bit better dispersion which isn't a life changing thing with bass guitar backline IMO and IME). However, if you get a very deeply voiced (and hence expensive) 112 with super high xmax and lots of power handling tuned to go down low, with the 8's crossed over quite low, then you really start to have something!

voicing and designing this cab was truly a paradigm shift. During our first play testing (before much experimenting with different crossover and speaker specs), we expected the basic design to be much more mid-oriented than it ended up.

Excellent! It looks beautiful. As I posted in that Lo Phat thread or whatever that company is, the first company who gets one of these three way cabs 'right' and put into production and good distribution are going to sell a lot of them IMO.

Good luck with it... it again looks very cool.

I engineered (with help) a 2 chamber cab like this (no tweet) .. we set up the input crossover to have a biamp option.

May have been one of the clearest cabs I've built...

The reason we used a 12 was to keep the physical size to a minimum..

When a lower volume box was wanted we had a mated 15 large box that had a mated cross over point to the other cab

-===

First time I played it (with a 7 string) an electric cello guy came out of the audience with an open check book to buy the entire setup.
