2 Ampeg 115's paired together - Pros & cons?

After giving my PF 500 and PF 115 a good run, I'm thinking about expanding my gear to include another PF 115 or maybe a PF 210 to add some more presence live with headroom. My current rig is performing well to give me enough low end and versatility when in a band situation.

I believe that I am right in assuming that pairing two PF 115's will give me more volume and low end i.e 250 watts between two cabs?

Two matching 15s will sound great, go for it.

2 identical cabs will always work best. You get physical "coupling", which increases the low end response, as well as the volume and overall "booty". It's the easiest way to turn a small rig into a monster.

Two is always better than one. The PF210 won't add high end presence any more than another PF115 will. They both use the same tweeter and are almost identical on paper in sensitivity and frequency response. That said, I tried several PF210's and didn't like them as much as the PF115. The sonic differences were pretty minute.

I like it, but honestly it's too loud for the gigs I've been having. I usually only need the one. But I like the two..

Out of interest is there a noticeable increase in volume? Ive been told that using two PF 115/210 will mean both speaker cabinets can potentially pump out 250 watts when driving the amp.

So more volume and low end?

I have to say the PF stacks do look awesome!

Works darn well for me.
Here with a Fender STUDIO Bass 200 on top

Definately, stacks more volume!
