2 ohm Bass Heads

Hey guys Shane here I was wondering if anyone could throw some 2 ohm bass heads that are mainly rated at the 500W range!! If anyone could help a brotha out it would mean a lot.. I'm looking for something that has a good tone of course.

PS I'm a NEWB to this technical mumbo jumbo

"Good tone" is totally subjective. That said, you might want to see if you could locate a Peavey T-Max head. It's 500W into 2 ohms.

I've got one and have been happy with it for well over a decade.

Good luck.

Ampeg SVT-VR, SVT-CL, SVT 2 Pro, SVT 4 Pro, SVT 8 Pro.

Plus any SS amp that has two separate power amps can run two 4 ohm cabs.

Hartke LH1000, 2x 545w @ 2 Ohms. Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 - 500 @ 4, 750 @ 2 Ohms. Those are the first 2 that spring to mind.

GenzBenz Neopak. I believe that I saw one in the classifieds a few days ago. I had one and it ran (2) 4 ohm cabinets with no issues. Great tone.

Peavey Firebass if you can get ahold of one. 700w @ 2 ohms, built like a tank, and cheap as hell.

Most any preamp / power amp rig will allow you to run two 4-ohm cabinets.

Genz NeoPak 3.5 is 350 at 4 ohms and 500 at 2 ohms, most all EA heads (older iAmps or the newer Micros, Doublers and the Pro). Carvin stuff, a lot of Ampeg's gear, Mesa Walkabout and most of their stuff. Fair amount of options! There's always the pre/power rig too
