210 & 115 Bass combos linked

Greetings from Cape Town.
I have followed threads on linking bass amps and thought I would just add my experience.
I have a Fender Rumble 100 210 with original factory drivers and a Warwick Wamp 180 115.The 115 is a Celestion 200 driver replacement and both are 4ohm).
So my MIM P bass into the rumble and rumble line out into the warwick. No effects.
The reason I tried this is that by themselves both amps are quite tame and lack real punch when the venue fills up.
I use them as stage monitors with a feed to the PA.
But I like to feel the bottom end under my feet and linking both amps has suddenly made it work. One amp seems to compliment the other.I use chrome flats so not much top end but growly mids and low end is very nice.Gives a much fuller punchy sound. I tried a preamp in between but that was too much electronics.Got noisy.regards.

if you mix cabs, doing it with two amps is the way to go because you can eq them to have complimentary sounds and cut down on the phasing. a little too much work for me these days, but it's fun to run two amps.
