I use a Peavey BAM 210 combo with Carvin 115 extension. Tasty.

I've run an Avatar 1 x 15 and a 2 x 10 for years and love the sound. My guess is you would find it very versatile. I also have a 1 x 12 and another 2 x 10 so I can set up whatever I need. 2 x 10 and 1 x 15 is almost always plenty.

I used to run a 1x15 (Markbass front-ported) with a 2x10 (Bergantino). Until I discovered how much of the fatness the 2x10 was sucking out of the overall tone. Now I just use a 1x15 alone and it sounds a lot bigger, more well-balanced, round, and deep. The Bergantino cabinet sounded very nice and clear and crisp, but not really what I wanted for bass. I like old-school fatness!

A 210 and 115 are a good match. A 410 will overpower a 115.

I used to run a Mesa M-Pulse Venture 600 Combo (210) on top of a Powerhouse 115... that rig rocked!

But, I eventually sold it cause I hated carrying the Venture Combo by myself over the gravel pathway to my house.

Wouldn't it be wise to add a caveat to this regarding matching wattage, or xmax, or sensitivity.. (I have no idea which spec is key)?

Example: I upgraded my 400w EV15L (in a TL-606 cab) with an Eminence 3015 and now my 400w EV 2x10 cab farts out long before the 15" cab sounds stressed.
