210 TVX with my SVT 3 pro

Sign in to disble this ad
Right now at a local music shop there is a peavey 210 TVX for around 110. I was thinking of buying it for a practice cab but it is rated at 175/350. My 3 pro puts 275 watts out. My question is will the 350 cover me or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks

Whats the RMS of the cab?

if its 350watts RMS you'll be fine, especially because the 3 pro isn't a very loud head.

if RMS means program than yes. If it is a synonym for continuous then no. Continuous would be 175w I think

The Peavey should be perfect. the cab is rated low, but puts out major punch.

what I am worried about is that extra 75w will blow the speakers. I am glad to know it has some power.

if you keep it down below what will blow it, you will be fine.

it should, but not always. there was one guy on here who couldn't hear it distorting and POOF! but usually you do get a little warning.

IT's a good deal..

Why not find an old mixer head and pair the 2 together.. there are some great Peaveys always for sale that will work great for this.. complete practice rig for about $160
