Not unlike many others, I'm slimming down my amp rig. Have replaced my Mesa Buster head with the MB Fusion and now I'm looking to get rid of my EBS 2x12 in favor of two 1x12s for a more modular, and lighter, rig.
Since I'm in Sweden, and because they're some of the greatest sounding cabs I've heard, I'm looking at this guys cabs; tks - but just for fun I thought to collect all 2x112-rigs in one thread; pics and experiences, all in one place...
So, show me yours and I'll show you mine? When I get it that is...

It was great - on paper. Played one gig with it. Light, but not loud. And I loved how the cab sounded, but not the combo. I got rid of the combo. Now I drive the cab with a GK micro head.

Cabs are loaded with 300 W/8 Ohm Fostex speakers, which can even handle my Dingwall AB-I's B-string without farting. One cab has a Fostex 1" tweeter. The stack is loud enough for almost all purposes (except big open air stages). |

it's mismatched, but sounds awesome. The top is an SWR WM12 combo that I turned into a 2-way cabinet by installing an old Carvin RL crossover. The bottom is a used Avatar cube 12 I picked up on ebay. The Avatar has a Deltalite 2512 speaker in it, which is actually louder thant he Celestion in the SWR. One day I'll get another 2512 for that one to match, but for now it's great...and LOUD!

I'm using a 600-watt Genz Shuttle head and will likely be getting a pair of Hartke Hydrive 112s.
Has anyone here been in a live playing situation where 2x112 didn't cut it volume-wise?
I expect this setup will work well with my current band, but thought I'd get some information on just how far a pair of 12's will go.
