Well I have went through 2 GKMB212 combo's with one or another problems , And at this point I have the opportunity to upgrade to a separate head and cabinet . I am ggoing with the GKMB500 head and am not sure weather or not to go with the 410MBE in 4 ohm and be done or , maybe another cabinet combination , say a 210 & 115 , or 212&115 . Any thoughts

The reviews on the mbe cabinets ( and mb combos) are very very mixed. If you are sold on GK you should go NEO line IMO. I have the212 and 115 NEO cabs, and they seem to suffer none of the reorted boominess of the mbe line.

IME the boominess is all down to the EQ settings on the MB210 combo, keep the bass EQ low and keep the boost below half and the booominess goes away I rehearsed with it this evening and it sounded sweet, no boom at all and my band is pretty loud
