If you do buy a 2x12 to go with your 1x12 get one with an impedance of half your 1x12. If your 1x12 is 8Ω get a 4Ω 2x12. That way all your drivers will get around the same power. You will also need an amplifier that will be 2Ω capable.

The only thing you could do is add another 1x12. Then you would have 4 ohms, which is the minimal impedance of your amp.

If your amp only goes to 4Ω your best option would be another identical 1x12. Two 8Ω cabinets will receive half the output of your amp. That means that you'll be driving the 1x12 with the same power as the 2x12. The 1x12 will suffer.

The only option for adding another cab is another DB112?

No but it is probably the best pairing.

+1 to Paul's advice. A 212 + 112 is a great setup in the same way that a 410 + 210 works but the combined impedance of a 4ohm and 8ohm cab is 2.67 ohms so your amp has to handle a 2 ohm load. The DB750 would be fine with this but not the AC500SC as mentionned. I'd think a pair of DB112's should be able to handle most reasonable gigs unless its a loud rock band. Does a 312 sound good though? Oh yeah!

But the big question is if 212 combination is going to be good for mid sized gigs and rehersals?
I tried this combination only in the store.

Unless the band is silly loud it should be plenty
