4 + 4 = Fire in the Amp

I have a Mesa Walkabout Scout with the 12 inch speaker, cab rated at 4 ohms. I found a 15 inch cab, also rated at 4 ohms. Can I put these two together in parallel and just keep the master volume lower to avoid cooking my beloved little Boogie? Or will the fact that it is operating under 2 ohms total impedance just generate too much heat regardless? Thanks in advance for any input.

I run my WA @ 2 ohms regularly, with no probs. I would think you'd be fine

Yes, many WA users run @ 2 ohms without issue. Just don't "push it" too hard, and if it starts getting hot, back off.

So you wanna run your Mesa Walkabout Scout at 2, 2.6 Ohms?

Since starting that thread I've ran my WA through it's 2 ohm paces with no issues at all.

Thank you for the great information. Excellent thread. I love that mod too. Now where did I see that 15 inch cab?
