I've done it - it's painfully loud!

No. I have thought about it a few times though. I would use two of the same heads so I had two identical stacks.

If I had to up my amp situation that is exactly what I'd do. In this case, another Walkabout head and another S12-S15 stack

Excuse my ignorance but if one had 2 amps how would they be connected?

I have run 2 s15-ds and a s15x-d together. It is plenty loud for me. I just run them off of one channel of my crest CA9. I have thought about getting a 4th, or putting my s12 d with the 15s.

For using both sets of EQ you would need something like a lehle p split.
Splitter box but you can just go line out into the return or power amp in of the other combo.

Contact Neal Fountain (Jimmy Herring's bassist) he used to run (4) BagEnd 15 cabs together and it sounded amazing.

This is, IMO, the optimal. Two s15_d's with an s15_dx on top. You can vertically stack them without it getting too crazy, and the 2.6 ohm impedance with a '2 ohm minimum head like the DB750, or a dual mono head like the Shuttle Max 6.2 (or a PA head like you are using) works perfectly.

That would hammer huge.

With four 8 ohm Bad End 115 cabinets you would connect two 115 cabs to each amp and then slave the amps together or use a splitter to drive them simultaneously.

The triple stack form factor works pretty well; I would stick to the standard S15's though - it's pretty bright in this configuration with the top cab blasting at your head.

Thx guys! I would do three, but is there a correct way to run them off a gk 400 head?

I don't think the GK400 will do less than 4 ohms, so only two cabs for that one.

=wr=

edit> Lots of 2 ohm amps out there, especially older Peaveys for a reasonable price.

I ran three from my Eden WT-550 once, for kicks. Very nice, four must be killer!

I tend to use my BE cabs for small stages and when I'm through the PA, so it's overkill. If I need that kind of room coverage my Bergantino big cabs come out.

There is something very sweet about those Bag End cubes, though I've never found the need for the coax one myself.
