4-Conductor Speakon Cable Use?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have the opportunity to buy an Eden WT-550 for a bargain price tonight but I have to supply my own speaker cabinet and speaker cable.

I have a GK NEO-212 and its 4-conductor Speakon cable to support the bi-amp feature of the 1001RB-II head.

My question is; can I use the 4-conductor Speakon cable to connect the Eden head to my GK cabinet without the risk of damage?

Thanks.

Is the Eden head bi-amped?

I don't believe it is.

Thanks.

Then there should be no issue using a 4-pin cable since there won't be any signal presented to the +2 or -2 terminals, and it will act just like a 2-pin cable.

On the other hand, it's a nice cable, even if you only use 2 of the 4 wires. I would use it anyhow.
