I have a 4 ohm EA 112 Wizzy speaker and would like to convert it into an 8 ohm speaker so that I can connect it to my Carvin MB 115. Is this possible?

Yep, just replace the speaker with an 8 ohm.

I somehow suspect that *wasn't* the answer he was hoping for!

Only by selling it and buying an 8 ohm version.

I bet he could get a good price for that 12" 4 ohm driver, but why? Carvin?

I'm downsizing and have no plans to gig anymore so have gotten rid of most of my big stuff. I've never had a Carvin before and this one seems to work well. Very small and compact for the little jams that I go to..

This is why buying a 4ohm cab sucks about 90% of the time.

I'm a firm believer that all cabs should be 8 ohms. Makes it easier to daisychain, & if you aren't daisychaining you're still putting all the amp's power into the 1 cab.
