4 ohm Neo 10's? Who makes them?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am looking for 4x10" neo speakers that can equal a 4 ohm load. Anyone know who makes 4 (or 16?) Ohm Neo 10" drivers? Obviously several cab companies are having them made, but are any available to the general public??

Are you talking about an actual cabinet that's rated at 4 ohms, or single speakers themselves? If its a cab you're looking for, there are plenty...start with GK. If not, you've got me.

I've only ever heard of B&C's. Woops, that's just 15s.

You'd be better off looking for 16 ohms probably.

Just get one of these 4 ohm Avatar 4x10 cabinets and you'll be good to go!

If you are talking about the 4 ohm Neo 10" speaker itself, they are made by Eminence. You will find them in quite a few good bass cabs.... if other speaker manufacturers are making speakers using this name then it is news to me..

Carvin makes 10" neo speakers. They also have several cabs with neo's in them to choose from. i.e. - BRX10.4 and BRX10.2 neo cabs.

What name? Neo?

Ironically, Eminence do not make any speakers named "Neo" or similar; they are Kappalites, Basslites etc...

None of the usual suspects (Eminence, Eighteen and B&C) make 4ohm 10s with neodymium magnets. What driver configuration are you looking at, and what's your goal impedance? There might be another way to hash out the right impedance.

EDIT: Looks like Carvin makes a 4ohm 10 Neo. Good call, vinxbass! I don't know if they're any good, though. You'll need to grab the T/S parameters from Carvin and have an engineer look over them.

I'm looking for a 4 ohm 4x10 configuration.

To the folks suggesting 16 ohm drivers, who makes a neo version of that?

Gk Neo 410 comes in either a 4 or 8 ohm cab.

Sorry for not being completely clear. I'm not looking for a cab, I'm looking for 4x10" Neodymium Speakers that can equal a 4 ohm load, to put into a empty 4x10 cabinet.

i will edit my OP.

Eighteen sound DOES make a 16ohm 10" neo driver. I have zero info on it, other than what's on the page, but it's worth modelling it in WinISD to see how it fares.

Make an 8 ohm cabinet and suck it up. The difference in volume is rarely appreciable.

Only other idea I have is to buy an Avatar 4x10 4 ohm, drop the drivers in your cab and sell the Avatar empty.

Celestion?

I don't know if these are still being made, but I think so. Those Faital speakers look like a good thing, too.
