410 and head?

Sign in to disble this ad
So my band is thinking about starting to do gigs, but my Acoustic B100 probably won't cut it. I can hear myself play with drums but at a live show, forget it.
My teacher told me I would be good with just a 410 cab and a 910 head or something like that. does this sound right? cuz there is an acoustic full stack chillin at my local music store (two 410 cabs and some head that has NO EQ so I would have to buy another head) for 700 but then I would be buying another cab.... or I could just get a used 410 for like 200 and buy a head.. but is that gonna cut it for bars and bigger like outside gigs?

Oh yeah. It's gonna get some volume!

If you want Acoustic like I use, I'd first go with the B-410 cab and a B-600H head. And that way you can add a lot more to your system with that head pumping 600 Watts later on.

That's the way I shouldda gone - but I went with the B-450 combo and a B-115 at first and then added more and more Acoustic stuff as I found it needed.

That was then- and still is- a very good combo - a 210+horn and 115+horn at about 425 Watts with the 600 Watt max capacity amp in that B-450 combo.

A combination of the B-600H and the B-410 will rock almost any bar that isn't as big as a stadium. You'd be very surprised at the power of that set-up.

I use it all the time and it can flap your socks big time.
