From 410tx to 412tvx?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been planning on getting a new cab for a while now. Not so much because there is anything I outright dislike about the Peavey 410tx, just that I've had it forever and want to try something different. I use a mid 90s Trace rah300sm and play either a Squire vm jazz or a Zon sonus fretless (passive with g&l mfd pickup) and play mostly punk rock. Found a 412tvx for pretty cheap at GC today. Going to a 4ohm cab will get me a little more juice plus I love how giant it is. Thinking it might be a good match for the TE head and give me a little more "rumble" or "growl"... Or maybe I'm misguided and just looking fo excuses to spend money on a big cab that won't sound any different or better/worse than what I have now. Any opinions? The 412 seems ro be considered one of Peavey's "best" cabs from what I've seen here, but...
