5 RCA 12BH7A - What are they?

Pre-amp tubes, obviously.

Beyond that, not sure why I bought 5.

Is this the same as a 12AX7?

Is there an application for 5 of them? SVT maybe?

A pair of them are used as drivers in the early SVT's. Also found in McIntosh hi-fi amps and studio equipment such as the Teletronix LA-2A.

RCA models currently sell for around $30 each.
